A serialisation, in one part

This week's Eye has exclusive extracts from Nick Davies' Flat Earth News, the book blamed for Roger Alton and Kamal Ahmed's resignations from the Observer. Plus lots of revelations about the Daily Mail's lawbreaking, the Sunday Telegraph's illegal investigations into Dr David Kelly before his body was even cold, and the unutterable uselessness of the PCC. All lovingly condensed and edited by, er, me. Definitely worth a read.

A most excellent serialisation - some sad person accuses me of being bitter for referring readers to the Observer bit in the Eye. I assume it must be from someone who works - or did work - for the much-improved newspaper. I can't imagine however that they would ever accuse Private Eye of being bitter.

It was a great serialisation, and I will definitely be buying the book when it comes out.

But can I put in a personal plea: could you address Liz Jones's columns in the Mail on Sunday?

But Louise, I did, in the very last issue! See about three or four entries down for the piece in full...

Oh, sorry, I should have been clearer. I don't mean her endless relationship droning columns, I mean her hamfisted attempts at political engagement in The Mail on Sunday.

To be fair, with titles like "I ached for a little brown baby - as a sticking plaster for my neuroses", what can you expect?
